A great test of Spoonflower.com!

posted Friday, November 20th, 2009 by Sarah

Recently I stumbled across this nifty site.. you can design your own fabric, and have it printed on demand, in almost any amount you could want, from an 8″x8″ swatch to basically a whole bolt.  I had wanted to try them since discovering them, and last week I finally sent off the new sheep I designed for my logo to get printed into some fabric.  I have not a clue what I will do with it now (I only got a fat quarter), but I am SUPER impressed with the results.. it looks like real professionally printed fabric (because it is!) and it only took a week to be printed and shipped to me – amazing!

It’s super soft, and the colors are “pretty close” to what I submitted (which was not the same color as my site).  They have a sample color swatch file you can order so you can get a good idea of how certain colors are represented by their printers, but as just a test, I am super thrilled with the results!

So go get your own custom printed fabric today – Spoonflower.com!

All caught up on customs now :)

Only 3 pairs, the yarn for the 4th unfortunately just wouldn’t cooperate and there wasn’t enough yardage so it was sent back home yesterday :(

However now I am free to concentrate on some instock goodies for our big holiday weekend stocking… look for legwarmers, puppets, and possibly some mittens to be stocked on Tiny Lady Cooperative over the weekend :)

More finished socks :)

I skipped a few pairs in my haste to get them mailed off, but here are the most recent 9 that were completed.  The yarns include Big Bad Voodoo Mama, Three Irish Girls, Western Sky Knits, and Stitches Under the Sun (not in that order)… I absolutely adore how some of these worked up :)

Just 4 more pairs to go and I’m all caught up on customs, and ready to stock some new spots for Black Friday on a much more limited basis so I don’t get so overwhelmed again… I will try to pick up the pace again after the craziness that is the holidays is over with.

Custom Sock Spots

posted Tuesday, October 6th, 2009 by Sarah

Custom sock spots, when available, will be listed on Hyenacart in the TLC congo.

Tiny Lady Cooperative

I will be trying to stock twice a month, however that will not always happen if I need a chance to catch up. At present I am running further behind than I would like to – this is my first year homeschooling and it has been somewhat overwhelming.

I will not be stocking any spots in December, if you would like socks made in time for christmas gifts, custom spots must be purchased in November, and your yarn MUST be mailed by November 30th and received by December 5th or I cannot guarantee delivery by Christmas.

Current Stocking Schedule

  • November 27, 2009 – only 6 spots, sorry but I cannot commit to doing more
  • December – not stocking
  • January – TBA, as TLC is currently deciding on a new stocking schedule, however I will be stocking a total of 12 spots over two stocking dates.

Ruffled Cuff pattern now on Ravelry :)

It’s a small start, anyways – I don’t expect many people to link their projects to it, as it’s not a complete pattern, but I hope it will be an easy way to link others to it.

Willow is dyed in lilac, lavendar, natural, seagreen, and aqua.  Trim shown is lavendar, but aqua has also been dyed to match. Some of this yarn will be available in July at TLC as part of a collaboration with Freckle as she releases her new Mermaid soaker sack pattern.

New Site!

I’m rearranging things, changing the site over from the old shopping cart software to a blog format.

I’m currently stocking yarns at Tiny Lady Cooperative on HC – next stocking is set for July 1st! :)
